What do the different levels of English mean?
A very simple outline guide from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages outlined below gives a brief idea of the communication skills at the various levels. Please note the full list of competences from governing bodies such as; the Common European Framework on Languages, The Association of English Language Testers Europe and the Council of Europe run into many pages. Whilst there are a number of free online placement test, unfortunately their accuracy is usually <49% MR.
